Kel Mitchell, star of the Nickelodeon shows “All That” and “Kenan & Kel,” has spoken out after a recent health scare that led to his hospitalization.

In a November 9th post on Instagram, Mitchell revealed that he is back home recovering after being rushed to the hospital while experiencing a medical issue. He did not disclose the nature of the medical issue but said that he is “now on the road to recovery at home, embraced by the love of my family.”

Mitchell also expressed his gratitude for the support he received from fans and fellow celebrities during his hospitalization. “Grateful for the flood of prayers and positive vibes that surrounded me during a genuinely frightening time,” he wrote. “That scare was real, but so was the support.”

Celebrities who sent well wishes to Mitchell include his longtime friend and collaborator Kenan Thompson, Damon Wayans Jr., and Yvette Nicole Brown.

Mitchell’s hospitalization comes as he gears up for the release of “Good Burger 2,” the sequel to the 1997 movie that starred him and Thompson. The film is set to be released on November 11, 2023.

In a March interview with HollywoodLife, Mitchell reflected on his and Thompson’s long-standing friendship and their exciting road ahead. “I feel like it’s a brotherhood,” he said. “We just get along, our comedy gels together very well, and we just understand each other.

It’s just cool seeing us as adults, being dads, and all this cool stuff that we can relate to and then talk about from when we were kids to now. We’ve known each other since ’94, so it’s almost been 30 years. It’s crazy.”
