U.S. stocks closed slightly higher on Monday, extending their winning streak to a sixth day. Investors are awaiting guidance from a host of Federal Reserve policymakers later in the week on the central bank’s policy path.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 34.54 points, or 0.10%, to 34,095.86; the S&P 500 gained 7.64 points, or 0.18%, to 4,365.98; and the Nasdaq Composite gained 40.50 points, or 0.30%, to 13,518.78.

The Fed is expected to hold interest rates steady at its December meeting, according to the CME FedWatch Tool. However, investors will be listening closely to Fed speakers this week for any clues about the central bank’s plans for next year.

Among the stocks making moves on Monday, Dish Network lost nearly 40% of its value after the pay-TV provider missed third-quarter revenue estimates and said its CEO would step down.

Bumble also fell 4% after the dating app operator said its founder and CEO Whitney Wolfe Herd would step down as chief executive

The S&P 500 posted its biggest weekly percentage gain in about a year last week.

Francisco Bedau, senior portfolio manager at FM Acceleration, believes that the Fed is likely to hold interest rates steady for the next six months.

Fed Chair Jerome Powell will speak on Wednesday, and remarks from the Fed presidents of New York and Dallas are also scheduled for this week.
